SIMULCASTING LIVE TO YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE
If you have any issues streaming to Facebook via the API, go to the simulcast section within your Sermon Studio and refresh the Facebook Token by Clicking on the refresh icon (the looping arrow) within the Facebook section.
If the API gives you difficulties, please use the CUSTOM RTMP option demonstrated below.
REPORT: On Sunday, January 29, 2023 we received reports of Facebook not receiving the stream that was being sent from sermon.net via API.
DIAGNOSIS: Over the weekend of January 28th Facebook made some updates that impacted their API. This interrupted our ability to send them streams using their API method. (The API is the automated solution that passes your Live Episode's description to to Facebook as part of the simulcasting feature.)
ALTERNATIVE: If the automated API solution is not functioning as expected, you can use the Custom RTMP option. Set things up at Facebook, then copy the stream key and server address from within Facebook and paste them into the CUSTOM RTMP fields within your Sermon Studio account.

A] Schedule an event in advance so that you do not need to be logged into Facebook to go live:
B] Go live in Facebook immediately (you need to be logged into Facebook to start stream).

- At this time, Facebook has restored the API and all systems are working!
Note: The API is currently working, but if needed, know that the Custom RTMP method cannot be impacted by a Facebook API issue.

- While preparing to roll out our updates, the Facebook API for simulcasting became functional again.
It would appear that Facebook is making changes that are temporarily impacting their systems. (They may have reverted a change after realizing it caused issues.)
We are still investigating and will continue making updates on our end to further improve performance and stability!

- Work continues, it's a rather large project and our goal is to have is completely ready to go before the weekend, but we will deploy the solution as soon as it is ready. For those broadcasting this evening we would suggest you be ready with the Custom RTMP solution as a workaround. The videos above will show you the options and the process.
