Paul Wood oversees technical support for sermon.net and is available to help your church better use the platform to reach beyond your church community and grow.

Do you have a camera with an HDMI output? JTech H.264 is a budget-friendly way to get online streaming in just a few minutes.

Most setups with the JTech are very simple.  Plug your camera in and give the encoder power. You are on the air broadcasting.

This encoder is a small stand-alone box that can be programmed using a local URL website. Once programmed you do not have to use a computer to stream with.

One (easily resolved) downside is that you would need to use something with a switch to turn on or off. A surge protector or a Smart Plug (Wifi Device that you can remotely turn on/off).

Pros:

  • Low In Price Under $175
  • Solid Metal Unit
  • Can stream up to 3 streams

Cons:

  • Once you give it power, it’s broadcasting – Need to use a switch
  • Does not record
  • Hardwired Only – No Wifi
