PAUL ON CALL: Simple Ideas to Increase Your Production Value

With Christmas and additional services approaching fast, here are some best practices to up your church’s production value. Some of these tips may cost more than others, but it is a great foundation to kick off the holiday season.

• Fluid head tripod makes your shots smooth and look a lot nicer.
• Learn how to white balance your cameras (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LN8PPLGBZSI).  This will help make the video feed look great!
• Some cameras have remote control zoom. Get a LANC Controller for smooth zooming
• Add a second camera, either through a second capture card using software like OBS, Vmix, or Wirecast.  The other way would be to get a switcher.
• Train up a few people to staff the cameras. Make it fun!
• Appreciate your team and volunteers. A thank you and a small gift goes a long way with people. This time of year is already busy, especially for volunteers.
