Not that the busy Easter season is over this would be a great time to make sure that your broadcast gear is tested and ready to go.  Here is a list of things that can help things perform their best:

  • Restart your network (Modem, Network Switch, & Router)
  • Run software updates on your gear & computer
  • Check that all of your cables are secured (HDMI, Ethernet, SDI, & Power)
  • Run a test broadcast

Another good practice is to have your internet provider come out a couple times a year to check for packet loss at the pole, and where the connection comes into the building.
