MEDIA-BANK UPLOAD & PUBLISH
UPLOAD YOUR ORIGINAL SOURCE FILES TO YOUR MEDIA BANK
The MEDIA BANK is designed to make uploading managing your source files (audio, video, and/or documents) more convenient. You can access the Media Bank page from your Studio > Dashboard, and it is also available within any Episode in your Archive.
You can upload multiple files at the same time using your Browser or FTP software. You have the option to just upload the media file(s) for storage within the Media Bank, or you can Upload & Publish to an Episode (for public access) in one step.
MEDIA STORAGE: To help minimize your Storage fees, once you have successfully Published your source file from the Media Bank to an Episode, you can then safely remove the source file. This will NOT affect the media that has been published to an Episode. (The “published” media is visible within the Studio > Episode Archive > Episode’s Media / Upload audio or video tab, and is accessible through your Players, Apps, and Feeds. The source file you upload is transcoded server-side and a new file is created that is then assigned to the Episode. Do not link people directly to files in your Media Bank, they are NOT permanent. )
UPLOADING TO THE MEDIA BANK:
With your Studio's ADVANCED MODE, click on MEDIA BANK. Then, Upload your file(s) by clicking on ADD FILE, or you can pass your files to your Media Bank via sFTP. Once the source file is in the Media Bank you can then publish the file to an Episode for public access through your Players, Apps, and Feeds.
PUBLISHING AN EXISTING ITEM FROM WITHIN YOUR MEDIA BANK:
If you are publishing a media file that already exists within your Media Bank (for example if you FTP’d files to the server or uploaded directly to the Media Bank), within the EPISODE click on UPLOAD MEDIA. Within the Add Files overlay click on the SOURCE FILES tab. Click on the source file's title/name to add it to the publishing queue. Click on START PUBLISH. Once the conversion is complete the media file(s) will automatically be available within your Players and RSS feeds.
- For FTP Uploading: click on the FTP info button for details specific to your account.
MANAGING YOUR USAGE: You can manually remove source files from your Media Bank through the Media Bank page (not from within the Source Files tab within the Episode page). Within your Studio's Settings page you can also have your Media Bank's source files automatically removed after a set period of time.
